In 1982
“Al Majali Trading”
was established in
Masirah and in 1987 new branches were opened in Al
Khaluf. The main office was transferred to Muscat with
cold store facilities within the premises.
In 1992 H.E. Sheikh Mohammed commenced a new business
activity of
Ferrying Service
from/to Masirah Island / Mainland with a new landing
craft “Al Shariyaha”
and a few other small
marine boats.
In 1993 a new Jetty was built at
Ras Helf by Al Majali
Trading, Building & Contracting Division.
Early 1995 the second Landing Craft
“Al Shamkhiyah”
joined the company ferrying in Masirah.
End of 1995 a
new branch in Nizwa city was opened with the
state-of-art Fish Processing Plant.
In 1996 the
company diversified into hospitality and hotel business
and “Masirah Hotel LLC” was established. The building
was constructed by Al Majali Trading, building
contracting division. In 1997 the hotel construction was
completed and the hotel operations commenced in full
swing. Today, Masirah Hotel on the island is the finest
hotels with the best facilities and comfort for the
guests.
At the end of 1998 a new company
“Al Majali International SAOC”
was established as a
general marine company. Subsequently all the existing
marine activities including all Landing Crafts owned by
Al Majali Trading were transferred to Al Majali
International SAOC as this company was formed with a
rich and vast experience and expertise in marine
business.
In the year 2000 a new fisheries company was formed
“Al Majali Industries LLC”
meeting the stringent European Standards as per the
local ministry requirements. |
